Bulls Bay Saltworks

On a wooded acre in sleepy ol’ McClellanville, South Carolina, Teresa Smithmyer lives with two dogs, two cats, three rabbits, 21 chickens, a greenhouse, and a smoke shack. Nearby, in Bull’s Bay, she harvests seawater at high tide to produce the finest solar-evaporated sea salt on the east coast.

What began as an experiment quickly grew into a bona fide brand, with a full product line and many exciting collaborations with other local artisans.
