From 2016-2021 I took up harvesting wild oysters with Seaborn Oyster Company. Cyrus Buffum, founder of Charleston Waterkeeper, started up his oystering venture around the same time I went solo in design. He needed help on the oyster lease and I needed to step away from the computer to find a better balance of my time. Oystering is difficult, painful, arthritic, back breaking, and exhausting, and a much needed breath-of-fresh-salty-air.
